Thus begins the tale of an adventure that spans several countries and more than a decade's worth of dreams, hard work and dedication.
ERIKA DUPREE CLINE
Chef Erika Cline, Chocolatier and Creative Director for Bleu Chocolat, is a highly-celebrated chef within the culinary field. Having been in the chocolate-making industry for over 25 years, and recognized as one of the United States’ top chefs, she has received many note-worthy commendations, among which include:
LINDA DIXON EVANS
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Linda is married to her life-long friend, Greg and they have a son, Gregory Evans Jr. She studied Culinary Pastry Arts at Virginia College, Jacksonville, Florida and graduated with honors. Her business, Divine Delectable Desserts by Linda, was birthed out of the memory of her sister, Zephaniah (Zeffie) Marie Dixon. She along with Linda’s mom was the bakers in the family. Despite Zeffie’s challenge of being hearing impaired, her baking became her voice and the way for her to communicate to people. She was very well known for her oatmeal cookies and pound cakes. Subsequently after her passing, the only way Linda could process the loss of her sister, was through baking.
During her internship in 2011, Linda had the privilege to meet her mentor, Pastry Chef Erika Cline, whom she was extremely honored to meet and sit under her expertise. Linda worked as her assistant at many venues, from the Southern Women Show, Taste of Black Jacksonville, Chocolate Wine Dinner in Kansas City, MO to assisting in creating desserts for the yearly auction at the UNCF Benefit Gala in Seattle, Washington.
In 2012, Linda accepted an opportunity as Pastry Chef at Cleota’s Southern American Cuisine in Arlington area of Jacksonville, Florida. This was an awesome beginning in an exciting industry and allowed her a chance to glean from her mentor and find her niche in the industry, which brought her to beginning her own business, Divine Delectable Desserts by Linda.
Now, Linda has poured her passion into Sister Chefs L.L.C.,(aka Bleu Chocolat Cafe) her goal is to continue making people happy one sweet dessert at a time.
